Awards Descriptions

 

Player of the Year (Junior and Senior)

Presented to the players (Junior and Senior) who excel in all aspects of the game of baseball, on and off the field

Pitcher of the Year (Junior and Senior)

Presented to the players (Junior and Senior) who demonstrated exceptional performance on the mound.

Coach of the Year

Presented to the Head Coach who has been identified as driving their team toward success using positive coaching techniques, demonstrates leadership in their words and behaviours, and is supportive of their team and the organization, on and off the field.

Assistant Coach of the Year

Presented to the coach who has been identified as working alongside the Head Coach to drive their team toward success using positive coaching techniques, demonstrates leadership in their words and behaviours, and is supportive of their team and the organization, on and off the field.

Team of the Year

Presented to a team that has shown outstanding achievement in the current season

Junior Umpire of the Year

Presented to a level 1 or 2 Umpire who, by their words and actions, demonstrates leadership, poise, dedication, and upholds the spirit of fair play.

Senior Umpire of the Year

Presented to a level 3 or 4 Umpire who, by their words and actions, demonstrates leadership, poise, dedication, and upholds the spirit of fair play.

Volunteer of the Year

Presented to an active adult volunteer whose contributions to the organization in the current season have resulted in the creation of a better environment for players.  Nominees may not be paid staff or active members of the Board of Directors.

Heart and Hustle Award

Presented to the players (Junior and Senior) who best demonstrates the intangible values that baseball fosters such as leadership, initiative, teamwork, positivity, and sportsmanship.
