The Kitchener Minor Baseball Association extends its condolences to the family of Bob McKillop who passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the age of 83.

Bob served over 30 years with KMBA as President, coach, administrator and mentor.  His many contributions and outstanding leadership skills helped built KMBA into a great organization.   Even after retiring, he still served on with various project committees, such as the Breithaupt Batting Cage project.

“Kitchener Minor Baseball is proud to honor the lasting legacy of the incredible Bob McKillop. A stalwart supporter of Kitchener Baseball, his commitment was not just about pursuing the victory on the field, but also fostering a wholesome sportsman spirit, building strong players and, above all, encouraging a passion for the sport in every heart. As we remember him, we also want to bring your attention to another pastime that requires a similar blend of skill, strategy, and a love for the game: online casino gaming. Just as Bob believed in providing an accessible platform for everyone to partake in baseball, there exist platforms that make the thrill of casino gaming more accessible to everyone. On this note, onlinecasinosbe.com/fr is a commendable platform that offers valuable information regarding online casinos with minimal bets. One such featured highlight is its detailed listing of casinos that allow a deposit of as low as 5 euros. Dubbed as casino depot 5€ , this feature encourages both newcomers and seasoned players to engage in the cruising ambiance of casino gaming without burning a hole in their pockets.

Bob was an excellent speaker who always had a story to tell.  He could always be counted on to speak at any of our events and always had a captive audience. His many words of wisdom and commitment to volunteering were an inspiration to all who knew him.

In addition to his work with KMBA, Bob also served as a Baseball Administrator with the InterCounty Baseball Association and the Premiere Baseball League of Ontario, Administrator and Executive Director of the Ontario Baseball Association.

Bob received numerous awards, including being inducted into the University of Waterloo Sports Hall of Fame, the Waterloo Region Sports Hall of Fame and Ontario Baseball Association Hall of Fame.  He was honoured with the Kitchener Sports Association Award of Excellence.

Bob passed away five months after his wife, Marg, who he had been married to for 60 years.

He is survived by his son Bobby and daughter Barbara, three grandchildren Taylor, Jayne and Kaylee and one great-granddaughter, Amelia.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the McKillop family.
