We express our condolences to the family of Brian Thompson, long-time KMBA volunteer and Past President. Brian passed away Sunday, May 8th. Brian loved donating his time to several local organizations and charities. He volunteered with Kitchener Minor Baseball for over 40 years, serving as President for seven years. Brian was always willing to help where he could and became an executive board member for many of those 40 years. He served as umpire in chief as well as Bingo operations director, and was able to lend a hand at any event that required it. There is a bench at Breithaupt Park that was dedicated to him in 2015 for his loyalty and contributions to KMBA and his years of service.

Brian took a great deal of enjoyment and pride in watching his grandsons’ baseball and hockey games and spending time with family.

Thank you Brian, you will be missed.
