Owen Mitchell
Born and raised in Kitchener. Currently playing at Garden City CC (NJCAA D1). Pitcher for the Sylvan Lake Gulls
Background
My baseball journey began at 14 years of age when I started playing with the Kitchener Panthers. I played 4 seasons with the Panthers, winning two inter county championships. I then moved on to play four more seasons in the Canadian Premier Baseball League. During these years, I began to focus solely on pitching.
Throughout my high school career I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Robb where I learned how important flexibility and movement is for pitching and staying healthy as an athlete. After high school, I continued my baseball career in Garden City, Kansas. I am currently a sophomore right handed pitcher at Garden City Community College (NJCAA D1). Due to Covid I was unable to be in Kansas this year, but I am looking forward to continuing to pitch at the collegiate level in the future. I have also signed to play in the Western Canadian Baseball League in the summer of 2021 where I will pitch for the Sylvan Lake Gulls.
